As you may have noticed in this week’s coverage, the local property tax election is just around the corner and, to prepare, the Town of Fountain Hills has set up four meetings to educate the public about what, exactly, the passage or failure of the tax will mean for the community.
While The Times will be rolling out additional coverage in the coming months concerning the tax, these various meetings should offer plenty of extra details, direct from the source. For those who want “just the facts,” we also note in our 1A coverage that the town is not able to endorse the tax question, but rather provide general information for those who want the details.

To make things easier on the general public, the meetings are being held over the next several months at various times to accommodate as many schedules as possible. Meetings will be today, Feb. 7, at 6:30 p.m., March 8 at 9 a.m., April 11 at 6:30 p.m. and April 30 at 3 p.m.
Considering the importance of the upcoming election and the lasting impact either a “yes” or “no” vote will have on the future of Fountain Hills, we encourage our readers to try to attend at least one of these informational meetings.
