It is interesting that the Town Council wants to keep their promise on keeping the Technology gate closed.
Apparently that is more important than reducing the Fire Department travel time from the current Fire Station #2 to westbound Shea Blvd. It seems like public safety is taking a back seat here. An open gate would reduce travel times for hundreds of local homeowners to Scottsdale and beyond.
The Town Council has not been concerned about keeping implied promises such as enforcing building codes to limit new building heights to protect the views of existing homeowners. The endless waivers for Park Place and the CopperWynd resort show no concern about keeping existing promises. The Town Council was fine with rezoning Adero Canyon to place high density housing in the community with people who bought expensive properties in an area zoned for only low density housing. What about the implied promise to those homeowners?

If the Town Council wants to keep their promises, they should keep the implied promises as well.
