I am very disappointed by the Town Council decisions to reduce funding to the food bank and the Boys & Girls Club.
Both of these are essential services, and their reduction indicates a change in their priority is needed by the council.
The food bank exists because Fountain Hills citizens need the assistance to stay well and survive. The Boys & Girls Club helps our youths to develop into responsible citizens who will help to make our town and country a better place.
I am sure that the funds can be found in the current budget to prevent the proposed $55,250 reduction.
The council should consider making copies of the budget and then having citizens provide their suggestions.
