Priorities?

John Kavanagh took issue, in last week’s paper, with Democrats participating in the Thanksgiving Parade because he says there is an informal agreement to keep politics out of the parade.

Perhaps there should be such an agreement, but this year’s parade included Congressman David Schweikert, State Sen. John Kavanagh, Rep. Jay Lawrence, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Rep. Michelle Ugenti and The Republican Club! Why single out the one Democrat group?

Mr. Kavanagh was also bothered by the signs that the District 23 Democrats carried, which highlighted the improvements that Democrats have been responsible for over the years. Those same signs were used in the parade two years ago.

I would think that a State Senator should have more important issues to occupy his time and attention.
