When Congress and the President finalize the budget and associated programs, I believe it should reflect the following priorities:
1. Ensure constant, required production of food at reasonable prices.
2. Provide affordable medical care for all.
3. Military capability to protect country and meet external needs.
4. Available quality education for all.
5. Safety programs to protect citizens from all hazards.
6. Adequate medical treatment and homes for all veterans.
7. Gradual reduction in federal deficit.
8. Fair taxation scheme for all.
9. Maintain and upgrade all transportation systems.
