In two more weeks people all over America will be joining their voices in prayer, as once more we observe the annual National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 3.
The theme, “Pray For Unity,” taken from Ephesians 4:3 is especially important this year as we see and hear of such disharmony, anger and frustration in the lives of so many. Children killing children, parents killing children and children killing parents. Where and when will it end?

We cannot and must not continue on this path of destruction. It is time to turn to the only solution that is guaranteed to work. In 2 Chronicles 7:14 God says “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land.” Do you agree this land needs healing? Then you need to plan now to attend the observance on May 3 at the Fountain Park Amphitheater.
The Fountain Hills Christian Ministerial Association will be leading an hour-long program starting at 6:30 p.m., but come at 5:30 p.m. and enjoy free hot dogs, chips, cookies, iced tea and water. Bring your family, friends and neighbors and let us make a difference as we humbly and sincerely ask for forgiveness. God is waiting for you.
