The event begins at 11 a.m.
Keynote speaker will be Brigadier General Antony "Bud" Farrington (USAF retired), who witnessed U.S. Senator John McCain get shot down in Vietnam before he became a POW.

Local veterans groups are coming together Friday, Sept. 19, to host a POW/MIA ceremony at the Fountain Hills Veterans Memorial.
The event begins at 11 a.m.
Keynote speaker will be Brigadier General Antony "Bud" Farrington (USAF retired), who witnessed U.S. Senator John McCain get shot down in Vietnam before he became a POW.
Other speakers are Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery, Mayor Linda Kavanagh, State Rep. John Kavanagh and Carl Propp, VFW Post 7507 chair of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
Refreshments will be available American Legion Post 58 following the ceremony.
