American Legion Post 58 was recognized by Honor Flight Arizona for donating $2,300 and sponsoring two Korean War Veterans on the first flight of the fall season.
Honor Flight Arizona is one of the hubs of the national organization which pays homage to WWII, Korean War and Vietnam War veterans by providing the support needed for them to complete a journey of honor and remembrance to their memorials in Washington, D.C. at no cost to them.
The organization was started by a couple of private pilots in Ohio who realized many of the WWII veterans had not seen their memorial and may never have the opportunity without a support group. More information is available at honorflightaz.org.
