Post 58 holds annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony in Fountain Hills

The American Legion Post 58 in Fountain Hills held its Annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony Saturday, April 12.

Post Commander John Weedo presided over the event and committee selection members, including representatives from American Legion Post 58, Fountain Hills Veteran’s Memorial, Marine Corps League and Post 58’s Sons of the American Legion, were present. Fountain Hills Mayor Gerry Friedel was an honored guest who also participated in the ceremony. The 10 students who were awarded scholarships are Hudson Barsema, Brendan Davies, Edward Greco, Bella Garman, Kitrick Garman, Niki Jacobus, Katie Larsen, Brooke Lyons, Ali McAuliff and Jackson Montheard.

The recipients are all advancing to colleges/universities or vocational schools.
