There is – well, it used to be – a lovely little pond on Golden Eagle Blvd. near the golf course that has been neglected and just disgraceful. It used to be just beautiful with clear water and huge goldfish swimming. The large egrets would stop to stand in the water along with other water fowl.
Some people out for walks would stop to sit on the rocks and enjoy the whole scene.
Now the water level is down so far I think the fish must be dead. Birds no longer stop to enjoy the pond. I myself used to stop and sit for a while when I was out walking in the early morning.

The water smells so bad just passing by is awful. Whoever owns that land or is responsible for the pond should be ashamed.
I think the town should look into that situation and clean it up or get the owners to do so. It won’t be long and it will be a breeding ground for mosquitos. That will bring a new set of problems for the area!
