Fountain Hills High School students, along with teachers Luke Salzman, Chris Peterson, and Olivia Long, recently hosted Polish exchange students from one of Fountain Hills’ sister cities, Zamość, Poland. The school program is assisted by Fountain Hills Sister Cities members, led by FHSC President Christine Colley and Vice President Elizabeth Matej-Horchem. Three Polish teachers/chaperones helped in the exchange, as well. The Polish students and teachers, alongside their Fountain Hills counterparts, explored Arizona with visits to the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Sedona, and Saguaro Lake. Students also got a chance to experience citizen diplomacy, a key component of the Sister Cities program, with a personal tour of the Arizona state capitol building hosted by Arizona State Senator John Kavanagh.
