In the Oct. 26 article, “Pavement condition worsens,” Bob Burns highlights the folly of the Fountain Hills Town Council over the last several years.

There has been more attention paid to installing the crosswalk to nowhere and discussing studies to build a traffic circle on Saguaro than taking care of what we already have. It is financial malfeasance of the kind that would have corporate controllers fired.

Hopefully the new Town Council will put a stop to the wasteful spending on trivial and unnecessary items.
