Parkinson's Awareness Luncheon set

The Fountain Hills Parkinson Support Group will kick off April as Parkinson’s Awareness month and celebrate the anniversary date of its first meeting in 2006.

The group will celebrate both events with the seventh annual Awareness Luncheon scheduled for April 2 at 11:30 a.m. at Ahnala Mesquite Room at the Radisson Fort McDowell Resort.

Those who attend the luncheon will order from the restaurant menu and pay individually with cash or credit card. For those who still need to sign up, call Judy at 480-899-1042 for a reservation and further information.

The Fountain Hills Parkinson Support Group will kick off April as Parkinson’s Awareness month and celebrate the anniversary date of its first meeting in 2006.

The group will celebrate both events with the seventh annual Awareness Luncheon scheduled for April 2 at 11:30 a.m. at Ahnala Mesquite Room at the Radisson Fort McDowell Resort.

Those who attend the luncheon will order from the restaurant menu and pay individually with cash or credit card. For those who still need to sign up, call Judy at 480-899-1042 for a reservation and further information.

Those who wish to carpool should meet at the Community Center parking lot at 11 a.m. To reach the restaurant drive east on Shea to Route 87 and turn left. At the first stop light turn left again and follow the road to the Radisson, which is located on the right.

People with Parkinson’s, their care partners and all others who are interested in learning more about Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders are encouraged to attend the FHPSG’s regular meetings at 9:30 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month at the community center. There is no charge to attend.
