Isn't it wonderful to live in Fountain Hills where we have so many great events, many sponsored and organized by the Chamber of Commerce?
One of these great events sponsored by the Chamber that is so so so family friendly is The Thanksgiving Day Parade. What a great event it is. Fun for the entire family.
This year for the first time, the VFW Post 7507 entry will include a 40-foot Battleship USS Arizona BB 39 float and a squad of Young Marines. The Post's Color Guard, as usual, will lead off the parade, followed by Veterans of Foreign Wars veterans in convertibles provided by the Arizona Classic Thunderbird Club. Included in the VFW entry are veterans from WW II, Korea, VietNam, Afghanistan and other armed conflicts. Most were involved in actual combat.

In cooperation with the VFW, American Legion Post 58 will have the Battleship USS Arizona BB 39 float be on static display at their Post on Parkview Avenue for a short while. Come see it there, talk to and thank the owners who have graciously donated their time and energy for the day.
