Mayor Kavanagh is threatening to remove her support of the budget override unless Pam Aister’s job is reinstated or FHUSD gets a new board. The mayor is friends with Pam Aister.

The issue has nothing to do with friendship or race, it is a matter of a teacher who failed to follow protocol and was ineffective.

Mayor Kavanagh should support the FHUSD override as it is important to the youths and students of Fountain Hills. We lose economic money when students go to school in Scottsdale --the lunch dates, doctor’s appointments, socialization, gym memberships, and shopping will all be scheduled in Scottsdale before, during and after school.

Mayor Kavanagh and friends, please stop the negative media circus and do the right thing --support our budget override and support our students!

It is important for the future of the Town of Fountain Hills and the Fountain Hills Unified School District.

As a parent of past and present FHUSD students, I support the FHUSD School Board’s decision.

(Editor’s Note: The mayor says in a statement she supports the override. See story on Page 1A.)
