Outlandish

Thank you Scott Ha-navan for writing exactly what I have been think-ing. Dorothy Wolovlek proved your point again in last week’s issue.

It would seem that one of the political groups in town has a letter-writing committee as there is a constant feed of scare-tactic type nonsense that is commonly found in cer-tain groups.

I feel that the newspa-per has some responsibil-ity to this community to point out blatant lies. The Times should be trying to share factual information with its readers so that they can form their own opinions.

Most of the letters seem to be more gossip than fact. It makes this town look very unsophis-ticated and uneducated. It’s been shocking to see that letter writers are al-lowed to make outlandish and slanderous state-ments about people serv-ing in our government that are simply not true.

A frightened and misin-formed community should not be a goal, and it serves no good purpose.
