Our community either needs to support strong economic growth or we all need to agree the funding has to come from another source.

Our community either needs to support strong economic growth or we all need to agree the funding has to come from another source.
It has taken over a decade for a council to make the hard decision to ask voters for a property tax. It’s really the only option that will immediately support the expenses we have as a community. It will provide the resources to keep our community a beautiful suburb known for exceptional public safety, parks, roads and community amenities of all kinds.
Over the past 18 months, other recommendations have been proposed to explore investing in our downtown to create a regional draw with the goal of increasing tourism and business vitality. The majority of citizens want our town to remain a quiet bedroom community. If that is what you want then a yes vote is the best way to ensure our small town charm.
It’s time for the full-time citizens of this community to decide our future. After studying all the facts, voting yes will distribute the tax collection more equally to all homeowners and property owners and is a viable way to collect from property owners that do not live in town full-time and therefore don’t support the current sales tax revenue model.
Let’s vote yes to keep our community one of the best-managed towns in Arizona and allow us to maintain our public safety increasing costs, infrastructure improvements, our streets and all other community assets. Let’s invest in our community and stay the most beautiful community in the West. A yes vote spreads the expense to all property owners, which is the most equitable way to provide for our community needs.
