The Jan. 22 Fountain Hills Times included a long article about Congressman David Schweikert. The article concluded with the statement, “He said he will talk with anyone, anytime. ‘I’ll have coffee with anyone when I am at home…’”

When I and a group of people approached his office, we were barred entrance by the police and denied the opportunity to speak with him. In spite of his espoused philosophy of openness and willingness to listen, he would not receive or listen to others.
