Oktoberfest returns Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27 and 28, from 4 to 10 p.m. at a new venue in Fountain Hills.

Oktoberfest 2024 will be held at Centennial Circle near the Fountain Hills Community Center.

Hosted by the Four Peaks Rotary Club, the German-based band “Die Echten Waldbaum” will entertain the crowd on both nights and authentic German food will be available for purchase including brats, pretzels, schnitzels, homemade potato pancakes and apple strudel prepared with secret recipes.

The family-friendly event will also include the famous Bier Stein holding competition and Alphorn blowing contest, the best-dressed German attire contest and an interactive area for the kids featuring face painting, balloon twisting, tablecloth coloring pretzel decorating and more. A vendor area will offer a variety of items for sale.

Fountain Hills Mayor Ginny Dickey will tap the ceremonial keg and open the 2024 Oktoberfest at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27.

“We are excited to introduce for the first time an indoor-outdoor, rain or shine, environment for Oktoberfest,” Four Peaks Rotary President Jeff Stack said. “One of Rotary’s many missions is to foster peace and understanding between cultures; therefore, we are proud to continue the Fountain Hills tradition of offering an authentic Oktoberfest experience.”

This year’s beer sponsor is Hofbräu/Crescent, a Munich company founded in 1589 with American headquarters in Las Vegas.

The Centennial Circle is located just outside the Fountain Hills Community Center, Fountain Hills Library, the River of Time Museum and the site of the future International Dark Sky Discovery Center.

Tickets for the event are $10. Admission is free for kids 12 and under as well as guests dressed in traditional Oktoberfest attire (dirndl and lederhosen).

Proceeds from the event will benefit worthwhile causes locally and internationally, according to a press release.
