Hundreds of people walk around Fountain Park and the lake on a daily basis, and during the winter months they are greeted by hundreds of waterfowl floating and swimming on the water.

Not to worry, according to officials with the Arizona Department of Agriculture. Not only has there been little indication of any transmission to humans, waterfowl who inhabit artificial lakes in the area are not susceptible.
