Fountain Hills resident Pamela Cap has filed a notice of claim against the Town of Fountain Hills stemming from a cease and desist letter she received on June 1.
The town and town attorney Jennifer Wright sent Cap a letter threatening to bring “drastic steps that could lead to litigation” should she not immediately change the profile image on her personal Facebook page on or before June 1, according to the notice provided to the Times Independent.
The image in question features the campaign signs of candidates in the July 21 primary election that was uploaded to Facebook on April 12, according to the claim, and includes mayoral candidate Brenda Kalivianakis and town council candidates Susan DeGennaro, Catherine Mirick and Jeff Tate.
