No vindication

In response to Mr. Tom Barberic: Councilman Henry Leger did win the recall election by a favorable margin, I admit to my error.

About the sign ordinance, you make it seem like Councilman Leger voted for everything except the LED lights. Henry voted against all of the sign ordinance. It took 10 years to get a sign ordinance passed.

As to the trash (that was the former council which Councilman Leger was part of)…all I remember are people shouting at the meetings and in the end the council voted for the one trash hauler. The people wanted it put on a ballot; council said it can’t be done. Didn’t even investigate to see if they could.

About the road bond, (again former council which Henry was part of) they told the people they needed the $29 million. Not a no frills, just fix the road bond, but a big huge wish list of everything they wanted, including a roundabout, it was suggested to the town that they put up two bond proposals. They didn’t think that was a good idea. They wanted all or nothing and they got nothing.

Also, why did they need this big bond to fix all the roads? They let the roads get into such disrepair that they needed a lot of money to catch up. You make it seem like they were just being responsible to fix all the roads. No...They were trying to cover their butts for all the years of being irresponsible and not saving money for the roads.

As to the reduction in staffing, you want people to believe that Henry was the driving force to reducing the staff. The staff was reduced because the revenue went down and it was the only way to meet the budget.
