It’s time for some fiscal conservatives to be elected to our town council.

I have lived in Fountain Hills since 1995 and have seen taxpayer money wasted by past and present council members on their pet projects. Rather than budget for improved infrastructure such as road repair, we get what the council sees as beautification projects. If the past/present councils would have gotten off their rears and walked the streets like I have for many years, they would have realized the streets were starting to deteriorate.

We have some newcomers with financial backgrounds and common sense running for the council and it’s time for a change away from the present council’s way of thinking. The present council just tried to raise our taxes so they could have an open checkbook for more wasteful spending.

Also, for information concerning use of bond money, read AZ Revised Statutes Title 48, Chapter 4, Article 5, Sec. 48-681 through 48-691. I wish the present council would have used the money on an election for a bond issue rather than waste it on their open checkbook dream.

After much research, I will have to support David Spelich, Gerry Friedel and Marcus Bulow Von Dennewitz for our city Council.
