The Chabad of Fountain Hills is hosting its New York Kosher Deli Pop-up fundraiser.
The menu includes sandwiches, packed with one-quarter pound of authentic, kosher deli meats (pastrami, corned beef or turkey) that are imported from New York.
Each deli sandwich is served on rye bread with a dill pickle slice and a choice of potato salad or coleslaw.
Salads will also be sold as sides, along with some additional items on the menu such as kosher pickles and brownies.
Water bottles and soda cans will be for sale as well.
The pop-up sale is Sunday, Feb. 23, from 12 to 4 p.m. for pickup or dine-in at the Chabad Center’s Social Hall which will be set up with plenty of tables for seating.
People can take their chances the day of the event but are urged to pre-order by Friday, Feb. 21, at noon to guarantee availability.
The New York Kosher Deli fundraising sale has been “popping up” for five years in a row, according to a press release, with the response for the event growing each time.
Orders can be placed through Chabad’s website at jewishfountainhills.com/deli.
Proceeds from the pop-up will benefit Chabad’s ongoing activities.
The Chabad of Fountain Hills is located at 16830 E. Avenue of the Fountains.
