Mynars: Schweikert’s vote on impeachment inquiry is disappointing
As a Fountain Hills resident, I am quite disappointed in our District 1 U.S. Congressman, David Schweikert, for his affirmative vote to formalize an impeachment inquiry of President Joe Biden.
The Republican Party members of the House of Representatives have for several months been attempting to produce evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden without success, yet they continue on when there are more important concerns to address (ex. Ukraine). Now they are no longer in session until the new year.
It would seem that Congressman Schweikert has again joined the crowd in order to embarrass the President and appeal to the MAGA faction of the Republican party to hopefully keep his office come the November 2024 election.

The citizens of District 1 deserve better than David Schweikert representing us in Washington.
