My thoughts on the No Kings protest in Fountain Hills

OPINION — I participated in the No Kings protest in our town. Over 900 people lined up along Saguaro Boulevard with signs to show their utter disgust with Trump and his administration.

The response from those who drove by was mostly positive. I even saw a member of our local ROT group there! In my home state of Minnesota, close to 200,000 people  turned out and marched to the capital in St. Paul. It was the epicenter of the movement in response to the invasion of ICE agents in Minneapolis this winter, which ultimately resulted in the death of two innocent citizens.

Throughout the country, over 3,000 rallies took place with over 9 million participants! We aren’t staying silent. Trump has not only destroyed our economy with his tariffs and mass layoffs, but also started a war with Iran which continues to escalate. Our best defense is to vote all his cohorts in congress out and choose new leadership in the upcoming midterms and in the 2028 election.
