An evening of free music is planned for Saturday, April 1, in Fountain Park.

The town’s tourism division is presenting the 2017 Music Fest featuring Western Fusion, Rock Lobster, Ryan Sims Band and Urban Electra.

Food trucks and vendor booths will sell refreshments or folks can bring a picnic dinner.

Music will fill Fountain Park April 1

An evening of free music is planned for Saturday, April 1, in Fountain Park.

The town’s tourism division is presenting the 2017 Music Fest featuring Western Fusion, Rock Lobster, Ryan Sims Band and Urban Electra.

Food trucks and vendor booths will sell refreshments or folks can bring a picnic dinner.

Western Fusion will open the lineup, performing between 4 and 5 p.m. The band was formed in the late 90s.

Rock Lobster, a Phoenix-based cover bad that plays hits of the 80s, 90s and beyond, will entertain between 5:15 and 6:15 p.m.

Nashville recording artist and Cave Creek resident, Ryan Sims, is the lead singer and guitarist for his new band, formerly Easton Ashe. He also has embarked upon a solo career with the release of his rock-infused country album.

The Urban Electra electric string quartet will plan classical rock, alternative rock, pop, club music and cutting edge electronic music from 7:45 to 9 p.m.

Food trucks and dining options consist of Loca Popa, specializing in homemade falafel and hummus; Circle R Farms, Questo Good, Latin-inspired dishes and Water and Ice, ice cream, kettle corn, snow cones and Italian ice
