Auction items offered at an upcoming fundraiser range from hotel packages to unique merchandise to substantial discounts for food and personal services.

The 11th annual L. Alan Cruikshank River of Time Museum Italian Fundraising Dinner with live and silent auctions is set for Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Community Center beginning at 5 pm.

Numerous town businesses and individuals have contributed an array of goods and services for the auctions and many more have said they will be donating.

“This means we’ll have especially exciting and interesting auctions,” said Debbie Skehen, president of the museum’s board.

Advance tickets are $15 each or $25 for two and are available at Gridleys, Sami’s, Kay Kinder’s Fountain Fashions, The Fountain Hills Times and the River of Time Museum.

Tickets will also be sold at the door for $15 each per person. Children are welcome and the price is only $5 for those 10 and under.

One lucky ticket holder will win $100 cash. A drawing from all who turn in their tickets that evening will be held to determine the winner.

Skehen said, “Many thanks go to those helping fund the museum’s children and adult education programs, our exhibit expansion program and some of our day-to-day operating expenses with their donations.”

To date, donations have been received from: Arizona Trails Travel, Arrivederci Cucina Italiana, Bashas’, Chocofin Chocolatier, Desert Canyon Golf Club, Desert Dog Automotive, Dolly Steamboat, Euro Pizza Café Inc., Fountain Hills Nails & Spa, Fountain Hills Hair, the Fountain Hills Theater, Fountain View Village, Gary Vecchiarelli Productions, Glenbrook Creamery, HealthSource Chiropractic Clinic, Heritage Cross Apparel, Rep. John Kavanagh, Lawrence Dunham Vineyards, Lexington Hotel & Suites, Liberty Tire & Auto Center, and Little Caesars Pizza.

Donations have also been received from Mojo’s, O’Hair International, Park Avenue Hair.

Phil’s Filling Station. Phil’s has donated 300 meals for the event.

Pink Tree Bakery, Rio Verde Golf Club, Russo Salon, Saddle Bronc, Safeway, Sami’s Fine Jewelry, Senior Life Insurance Solutions, Shear Indulgence, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Southwest Wildlife, SunRidge Canyon, Tap House, Tru-Fit Studios, We-Ko-Pa, and Wendy’s have all contributed.

The Arizona Museum of Natural History, Cave Creek Museum, Hall of Flame Museum, i.d.e.a. Museum, Pueblo Grande Museum and Taliesin West have donated admission passes.

Donations and pledges are still being accepted. Contact Skehen at 816-4186 to make arrangements. You may also drop off items at the Museum during its summer hours, which are 1 to 4 p.m. on Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
