Fascinated by history? Enjoy meeting new people? Have a flare for telling a story or want to learn?
Then, you might be interested in becoming a River of Time Museum docent.
The volunteer docents guide visitors on museum tours and encourage further exploration of the cultural and natural history of the Lower Verde River Valley.
The training class will be conducted from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 6, and continue through Nov. 3 at the museum.
Trainees will learn the history of the local region as they gain interpretive and storytelling techniques from seasoned docents, mentors and staff. All new volunteers also attend a one-hour museum orientation.
For more information or to register for docent training contact Lisa Miller, volunteer manager, at 480-837-2612 or volunteers@rotmuseum.org.
