Who would not appreciate the efficiency of a paperless office?
Not only can Boyd Edmondson, founder and owner of a new business, UniLogical, promise savings in actual paper products, he can track employee time saved in eliminating scanning and archiving paper documents.
Edmondson has launched MoxyDox, a paperless office product. He is coordinating with Jumpstartbiz, a support program which assists early-stage businesses in Fountain Hills and surrounding areas, and is operated by Arizona Business Advisors.
Edmondson, a town resident for the past seven months, concedes other paperless systems exist on the market. He will tell you his is better.
“Our product is different from everybody else. They’re apples; we’re an orange,” said Edmondson.
Specific features are:
*MoxyDox doesn’t require any conversion or scanning of current documents so very little upfront disruption occurs.
*There’s no change in existing forms or organization of them. Digital templates are created and used over and over.
*Retraining staff to use a new system is not applicable because forms don’t change nor does the organization filing system.
“A business can be up and running in a few hours,” Edmondson said. “We have seen a high level of interest from our early contacts and several businesses have already begun implementing MoxyDox in their workplaces.”
Edmondson, 50, has been writing computer software for 25 years, starting initially in Texas and moving to Bothell, Wash., near Seattle. The Bothell region is known as the world headquarters for ultra sound devices.
“We find the hardest hurdle for us is educating a potential business on how we’re different and therefore how we’re better,” he continued.
Many prospective clients worry about security and archival record issues, said Edmondson.
Hacking occurs in web-based technologies using standard application programming interfaces that everybody, including hackers, know.
“Eighty percent or more of all those breaches that you hear about are in that technology area. We, at UniLogical, don’t even use that technology,” said Edmondson. “By design, we are more secure than our competitors and we go beyond that to use high-level encryption. We have only one person in the world who can access this information and that’s me.
“We have worked with hundreds of companies over the last 15 years, but rarely have seen one with so much potential. It’s great to see businesses like UniLogical operating in Fountain Hills,” said Tyler.
MoxyDox offers Chamber of Commerce members a discount on the service. UniLogical engaged the services of Knoodle, a marketing firm. More information can be obtained at the website, MoxyDox.com, or by calling 1-833-669-9369.
