I’ve been waiting to hear news on any further developments regarding a movie theater to be built in our town.
I understand the original idea is all but dead in the water due to the economy crashing at the wrong time as this project was about to begin. However, there was a man interested in taking on the project and he had years of experience with his own theaters out of state.
If he is still willing, I’ll bet there are enough people who still desperately want a theater located here.

The list of motivating reasons remain the same: inconvenience of driving 30 minutes to see a movie, need a draw to Fountain Hills so people will shop and eat before and after a movie or while their kids are watching a movie, and income for the town.
I am one who thought the ideal location would be better off Shea, near Target, where it is already commercial and easier to access from all directions.
Is there a committee formed of interested folks who will continue to explore this idea? I know I would be willing to pay $1 more a ticket for the convenience. Would anyone else?
