Monsoon storms in forecast through Tuesday

While a lightning strike damaged a Fountain Hills home rainfall in the community Sunday evening was relatively light based on data from the Maricopa County Flood Control District monitoring stations is town.
The greatest amount recorded was .28-inch falling at the SunRidge Canyon Dam off Palisades Boulevard near El Lago.
However the National Weather Service is forecasting more of the same for this evening and Tuesday with monsoon moisture pushing into the state from the south.
Heavy rains accompanied by high winds and flooding washes are possible both days.
Dryer air will move in by mid-week reducing the chance of showers.
