Michelle Williams

Posted

Michelle Williams was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, nana, friend and artist.

Michelle passed away peacefully at home on Sunday morning, Dec. 11, 2016. She is survived by her loving husband, Ted; her two daughters, Tiffeny Basten (Bob) and Terri Yoder (Jason); her younger siblings, Sharon Anderson and Mark Viminitz. Nana is also survived by three grandchildren that she adored and was very proud of, Tyrus, Jalin and Nicholas.

Michelle was born July 18, 1946 and raised in Canada. She was a world traveler until she settled down and got married to Ted, her husband of 47 years.

She owned and operated many small businesses while raising her daughters. In 1986 Ted, Michelle and the girls moved south to make Fountain Hills their home.

Michelle’s inquisitiveness and passion in all facets of art made her well known in the community as a talented artist. Through the years her art has included macramé, caribou hair tufting, 3D tule, all types of jewelry, recycled art, faux and murals, custom made crosses and her latest “Chics and Chucs” to name just a few.

Michelle has given countless volunteer hours and organized so many events to help art thrive in the town of Fountain Hills that she was proud to receive the honorary Lifetime Members Award from the Fountain Hills Art League.

Since Ted was always on the golf course, Michelle decided to join the love-hate relationship with golf herself. Out of this she organized a women’s golf league which grew into many lasting friendships.

Michelle will be deeply missed by her family and many, many dear friends and she will be remembered for the special ways she has touched peoples’ lives.

May we forever honor and treasure the wonderful times we’ve had with the famous and talented Michelle Williams.

Thanks to everyone for their prayers and support.

Memorial services will be private.
