Michael Christopher Connelly “Mike,” passed away on Sept. 4, 2016 after a long illness. He was born in McPherson, Kan. on Nov. 28, 1935. He always celebrated his birthday on Thanksgiving Day.
Mike is survived by his wife, Carolyn; daughter, Susan; son, Brian and grandsons, Michael J. and Riley T.; brothers, Harry S. “Pete” and Denis and sister, Colleen Moss and many wonderful nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was predeceased by his son, Patrick; his parents, Marian and Harry S. Connelly; brothers, William and Thomas and sister, Patsy Holt.
Mike always worked as a production and drilling engineer in the petroleum industry. He enjoyed many things including playing golf in Arizona, spending time with his many friends and watching football.
Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Ascension, 12615 N. Fountain Hills Blvd., Fountain Hills, AZ 85268. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Hospice of the Valley or a favorite charity in Mike’s name.
