What a week this has been! One minute I’m sitting by the door, minding my own business, and the next thing I know I’m on the “other side.” Freaky-cool and freaky-scary!
So this is what happened: My DCM (dear cat mom) was rushing around picking up the house, including all my toys that I had placed exactly where I wanted them. I’m staying out of her way when the front door opens right next to me, just as she turns on that massive, loud gobble machine that gobbles everything off the floor even faster than I do.
Well, that just about scared the fur off my tail and I jumped up and ran out the door. Kitty is clear of the house! Yes, my chance to explore, but little did I know it’s not all catnip and special treats out there. I soon realized I wanted to go back home, but I didn’t know how to get there. I huddled under some bushes and porches for what seemed like a dog’s age.

I’m home now and here’s how: I now know that Fearless Kitty Rescue posted my picture and their contact info on social media and advised my DCM I was likely hiding nearby and where she might look for me (don’t put the litter box outside!). People looking for me found me under the bushes and I was lost no more!
Take it from me, Fearless Kitty is doing a great job. So far this year they have helped 45 cats and kittens from the Fountain Hills area. Please help them continue this work of finding lost cats, reuniting cats with owners and advising on neighborhood cat management.
Vote for Fearless Kitty in the Republic Services Rewards contest (rsgivesback.com). Thank you!
