After an emotional, sometimes heated discussion Mark Steinmentz, the medical marijuana dispensary operator in Fountain Hills walked out of last week’s Town Council meeting with the opportunity to extend the dispensary hours, but did not get all he wanted.
Steinmentz was asking the council to amend its zoning rules to allow his Nature’s AZ Medicines dispensary to operate within a range of hours between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. seven days a week.
The council voted 5-2 to approve a motion to allow the dispensary to operate within the hours of 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
