Detectives have resolved three arson cases that occurred in Fountain Hills during the summer months, according to Maricopa County Sheriff’s Capt. Larry Kratzer.
Kratzer, commander for the MCSO District 7 substation in Fountain Hills, reported the information to the Town Council at its Sept. 16 meeting.
He said a juvenile playing with fire in June in Ashbrook Wash near Fountain Hills Boulevard started a blaze that caused damage to vegetation in the wash but fortunately did not spread to threaten nearby homes. He said in that instance the fire simply got away from the person who started it.
