Mayor Friedel is getting plenty of coverage

It seems that Nancy Plencner has become new Mayor Friedel’s spokesperson, not only to inform residents of her preferences in voting but reminding the Times Independent that it needs to make sure to “cover” the new mayor more.

Funny thing is though, Friedel seems to get plenty of coverage…when warranted. Oh sure, he shows up for the ribbon cuttings, but the first council meeting in January was cancelled. Why? Yet Mayor Friedel did get unbiased coverage about Councilman Skillicorn’s failed lawsuit.

He ignored the advice of the council committee that interviews prospective commission candidates – instead voting to appoint someone else, an ex-candidate for council. I saw that watching the December council meeting. So much for transparency!
