Mary Martin, after fighting cancer for the last three years, passed away Saturday May 18, 2013. She previously was the accounting supervisor for the Town of Fountain Hills and later became the budget administrator for the City of Mesa.
She was born and educated in New York, moved to California in 1975, and finally settled in Arizona seven years ago. She is survived by her husband, Jim Alcivar; two brothers; a sister-in-law; and three nieces.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Messinger Mortuary in Fountain Hills. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 25, at 10 a.m.
