We have lost a beautiful human being, Marty Goodwin, at age 75, on Nov. 16, 2016. Having grown up in the shoe business in Milwaukee, he referred to himself as The Shoe Doctor who went to Oxford University.
He will be missed for his “fun-loving” personality and his crazy expressions in his own language.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Karen Sue; his beautiful daughters, Lanie and Lisa and Lanie’s husband, Chris who Marty referred to as his “son.” Also surviving him are his beloved grandchildren, Jordan, Brooke, Malia, Lauren, Catelyn and Emilee. In addition he is survived by his sister, Janice Roth of California and numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016 at 11 a.m., at Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary, 12065 N. Saguaro Blvd., Fountain Hills, AZ 85268.
Following the service, a celebration of Marty’s life will be held at Chris and Lanie Martin’s home located at 1664 S. Marble St., Gilbert, AZ. 85295.
