We wish to give a heartfelt thanks to all who stopped by our Marine Corps League Detachment 1439 booth this past weekend at the Fountain Hills Art Fair! Your donations, while we handed out the Marine Rose, will help us to bring comfort to veterans, support youth programs and provide humanitarian aid.

We had people from all walks of life stop by to support us and to share their stories, from Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard veterans, to retirees from all over the country, to children, families, the young and the young-at-heart. Thank you so much; your donations help us to assist wounded veterans and provide health and comfort items for hospitalized veterans, scholarships, humanitarian aid and sssist local youth programs

With coordination from our Marine Rose Chairman, Tait Elkie, we were joined on Sunday by the East Valley Young Marines who helped our members raise record funds once again. Members at the booth included Tait Elkie, Dave Nelson, Phil and Debbie Yin, Tom Pagliuco, Bob and Bobbi Schmitz, Gene Wuestenfeld and Nancy Ogden to make this a very successful event.

We look forward to seeing you again in February at the next Fountain Hills Art Fair!
