Not too long ago, it was not considered cruel, unusual or heinous to the public for businesses to be open only from 9-5 on weekdays.
The Office of National Drug Control Policy still is opposed to the legalization of marijuana. It finds that increased marijuana availability may place significant strains on our healthcare system and brings hidden costs to users and communities.
I would urge the Town Council to at least peruse the website www.whitehouse.gov and follow the links.

Outside of imagined extra tax revenue, what redeeming social values outweigh the spiritual costs of merely making marijuana more convenient?
