Mr. Holyoak stated prohibition on alcohol did not work. How about prohibition on murder, cocaine, heroin and prescription drugs? He told us he could pull out his cellphone and have marijuana delivered within 30 minutes. If he can do that he can also get cocaine. Why not legalize all illegal drugs?

In reference to taking sales out of the hands of criminals, this is not true. If the tax on regulated marijuana will be 24.9 percent, what a big savings it would be buying from criminals. The criminals can also sell it cheaper. They legalized off track betting on horse racing. It did not work. “No taxes on winnings” with bookies. They give better odds than the state. What law can really prevent a 21-year-old person from growing more than six marijuana plants in their homes? If six plants yield 1800 joints 12 plants can make 3600. All this will do is make more criminals.

All this law does is make medical marijuana dispensary owners richer. Let’s see how it will affect families. Mom and dad after dinner can have their kids help them cultivate their marijuana plants. Then the parents can light up and help the kids with their homework. Do you really want your kids to watch you get high?
