Mr. Schweikert is certainly entitled to his opinion. However, our honorable representative should be reminded that his opinion does not reflect the view of this and many other constituents he represents.

His piece in last week’s Times painted a dire picture of the ObamaCare implementation as being a “train wreck.” In it, he cited Democratic Senator Max Baucus as using this term to describe the bill.

In actuality, Baucus’ reference was that he was “very concerned” that new health insurance marketplaces for consumers and small businesses would not open on time in every state. The statement was about implementation worries and not about the whole bill.

Every major system implementation, including ObamaCare, will have its glitches, hiccups and unforeseen issues that require attention and resolution. The postponement of enforcing fines on non-compliant employers having 50 or more employees until 2015 is an example.

My research showed that a mere 4 percent of large firm employers are affected by this postponement. Hardly a train wreck. Individual issues give no reason to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Rather than find fault, Congress should be helping where it can to grease the skids (or tracks) in making the implementation a success. After all, Congress voted the Affordable Care Act into law. Any talk about repeal should not even be debated until the new system has been deployed for a few years.

Many individuals and families will benefit from health care coverage that has been denied them for years until ObamaCare finally made its way to the President’s desk. Even Governor Brewer could see the benefits of implementing the part of ObamaCare that expands Medicaid in Arizona. It saves lives, creates jobs and keeps rural hospitals open.

ObamaCare is on the verge full implementation. My opinion is that it will be successful. All aboard!
