Make a Difference Day is this Saturday and it’s not too late for interested parties to get involved with this annual tradition of neighbors helping neighbors.
As of this writing, more than 40 projects are lined up for the event scheduled for this Saturday, Oct. 27, which means organizers could use plenty of help from local volunteers.
If you’re unable to register for Make a Difference Day online before the event at fh.az.gov, you can also register on-site Saturday morning to lend a helping hand. Everyone is asked to be at the Saguaro Ramada in Golden Eagle Park by 7:30 a.m. Once everyone is signed in and organized, folks will hit the road by 8 a.m. to get to work.

Projects include everything from light housework, painting and organizing to plenty of landscaping and the like. Participants should dress for the occasion, so wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and close-toed shoes.
In a community known for its philanthropy, Make a Difference Day is special because it allows community members to come together and show some TLC right here in their own backyard.
