So what’s happened to Fountain Hills? It seems politics has reached the lowest level possible.

Respect, openness to other’s ideas, honesty; virtues that all seem to have been forgotten or left behind. Fountain Hills should not be, need not be, a reflection of the rest of the country, but it has become that. Is it any wonder that most people eschew politics and the rot of those that supposedly represent them?

To an outside observer looking at the candidates’ signs, various websites and letters to the editor, it would seem that somehow the dissoluteness of Chicago and Cook County politics has oozed into the makeup of Fountain Hills. Too bad; such a sorrow.
