Loop 101 restrictions in Scottsdale

The Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) freeway widening project kicks off this weekend, during which time there will be freeway restrictions between Shea Boulevard and Via de Ventura Drive.
The project will widen 11 miles of Loop 101 between Loop 202 and Shea Boulevard with the addition of a new general purpose lane in each direction.
This weekend drivers can expect the following restrictions in the Scottsdale and Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community areas:
*Loop 101 northbound CLOSED from 90th Street to Shea Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 9). DETOUR: Use eastbound 90th Street to west Shea Boulevard.
*Loop 101 narrowed to two lanes in both directions between Shea Boulevard and Via De Ventura Drive from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Aug. 11).
During the project, drivers are urged to plan ahead for restrictions, including overnight and weekend closures, as well as a lower speed limit of 55 mph within the work zone.
