Looking ahead

On Nov. 1 the Greater Fountain Hills Business Alliance began its fourth year as a local pro-business, non-profit organization.

The board of directors and I thank the communities, businesses and residents of Fountain Hills, Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, the Verdes, and Goldfield Ranch for their outstanding support. We especially thank the 100-plus business members, sponsors and Friends of the Business Alliance who help fund our organization.

November and December are quiet months for this all-volunteer organization as we gear up for a dynamic 2015. Our committees are planning another Marketplace and Poker Run in the first quarter of the new year, as well as putting the final touches on two new programs to support area businesses, and revitalizing our Business Coaching Program, formerly the Mentoring Program.

We will continue our Lunch & Learn Business Education Series and the Business Visitation Program – a survey of 100 area businesses. Responses to the survey tool will provide the communities a rating of area services and help the Business Alliance identify issues and trends facing our business communities.

We will share the ratings with appropriate entities and use the business issues and trends to strategically plan for the future. We are also proud partners with QuickFind Numbers and JumpStartBiz.

If you wish to join the Business Alliance and get involved, please visit our website at www.gfhba.com or call me at 480-231-3896. Happy holidays to all, and we wish you a prosperous 2015!
