Longtime FHUSD employee becomes elementary school principal

Falcon Fest orientation on July 31

Valerie Reichler spent the last two years as the Fountain Hills Middle School dean of students, and now she returns to the elementary school where she started her teaching career.

Reichler did her student teaching with Linda Lawrence at McDowell Mountain Elementary School (MMES), and a few years after that, Joanne Meehan found her in a Costco and asked her to come interview for the school.

Reichler spent 11 years teaching first and fourth grades at MMES and returns to serve as the school’s principal. Originally from New York, Reichler has lived in Fountain Hills for 23 years, and worked for the schools for the past 13 years.
