Long time

Eight years (two terms) is a really, really long time for one mayor in a small town. Four or six years seem more than enough and, because of staggered Town Council terms, there is no cost savings to a four-year mayoral term.

I am confident Mayor Dickey will be re-elected in the fall, and deservedly so. I’d just prefer to see her running for six years in the cycle following, rather than 10. Vote no on 429.
